My wake up call...

 

Silly me, I made a choice to ignore the symptoms, and I landed in the hospital for nine days. I was so frightened! I couldn't believe I was headed into emergency surgery for a lower bowel obstruction because I was too busy to pay attention to the warning signs I was experiencing for several months.

The good news is... I learned my lesson, and I make my gut health my number one priority because all health issues, minor to major, begin in the gut. I can tell you this, it's easier to get healthy than it's to be sick!

What was my biggest wellness regret in my health journey? It’s admittedly very simple: I wish I started taking my health more seriously than I did.

 

Here was my hesitation. How do I know if it works? What if it doesn't work? Was I truly capable of putting me and my health first?  I swore up and down that I didn’t want to try one more thing that wouldn't get results. I was mainly worried that I would start strong, lose confidence, and…. well, stop. And wanna know what finally changed my mind?

 

I read an email. A good friend that I trust and respect sent me his story, and I found myself reading handfuls of stories from moms, women in business, athletes, and the ones that touched my heart the most were the kids.

My Biggest Health Regret

They weren’t spamming me rather showing me what was possible. It was just what I needed, and I was loving it. I found a new part of my health growing. I got excited to see the changes and be there to support others in their health journey.

I would be remiss not to share how my health changed because I decided to put me first. It took me from that blah heavy feeling bloated, exhausted, and emotionally drained girl to oh yeah, I'm alive! I knew I was in there I just needed a little something to get me back.

 

So what to DO?

 

Well, get your party hat on! And commit to health it is non-negotiable.

Health is our natural state.
